Trail Details √ Unpaved trail with some gentle inclines and sections of high step-ups and rustic stairs. √ Suitable for most hikers in good health; not recommended for those with injuries or mobility issues and limitations. √ Approximately 3.5-4 hour hike, including photo stops and breaks. Things you need to know - What's included - √ Cinch backpack √ Bottle of water √ Light, healthy snack (fruit, granola, or trail mix) Meeting Details- √ Pickup at the covered Visitor Center (Berth 3) √ Ward Cove pickup available at the tour staging area at The Mill What to Wear- √ Dress accordingly. Layers, coats, and rain gear may be needed as Southeast Alaska can have very unpredictable weather. √ Shoes and socks that are comfortable and that you do not mind getting dirty or wet. Athletic/cross-training/running shoes with good tread are fine for most or hiking shoes or trail shoes. Casual shoes or canvas shoes like Converse are not recommended. Important Notes- √ This is an alcohol-free, drug-free, and tobacco-free tour. √ We will be following the 7 principles of Leave No Trace. There will be bathroom facilities near the trailhead, but not along the trails. If there is a need to go during the hike, WAG bags will be provided. √ Guaranteed return to berth/ship before departure
